Robert Lindsay (B):
A "Rolling Stone" who served with Napier in the Crimea. (RLM: Was Napier ever in the Crimea?) He was in The Royal Irish Regiment, then in the 4th King's Dragoon Guards, and later in the Royal Marines. He deserted from one unit and was bought out by his father from another. He was a 'bit of a boy'! He worked in the adjutant's office, as he was a very good writer. He was a 'slight poet'.
RLM:
I wonder if Matthew served in Peel's Brigade in the Crimea. Pity we don't know more about Matthew. Doubt if he kept a diary!
Bachelor.
