James and sister Mary, known as Polly, went to Glasgow to live and work. Lived with their mother in ?? Street probably until World War I. James was an odd character, who liked to take my brother Willie (Bill) and myself on expeditions around Glasgow, of great interest to us both, e.g. sailing on barges on the Forth and Clyde Canal.
