He visited Margaret Carruthers (nee Brechin) in 1969 in Canada. He and his 2nd wife are still at work as compositors on a Charleston paper. "Painfully quiet. Slow. Southern drawl". Margaret liked him and also his wife. He was four years at sea in War II in a submarine chaser.
