Imola Motorcycle Grand Prix, 1998

This set of pictures was taken on a trip to see the Motorcycle Grand Prix held at Imola on 6 September 1998. Four of us went. We stayed near Brescia the first night and stayed in Faenza, near Imola, the night before the race.

In spite of cold rainy weather in the Alps and strong winds between Brescia and Bologna, the race itself held in hot sunny weather. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. We made the return trip all the way back to Switzerland, about 800km, directly after the race, starting at 4pm. Needless to say, it was a long afternoon and we were happy to tumble into bed after the long day.
