Some companies are worried about the legal and security issues caused by the e-mail messages sent by their employees. They therefore attempt to protect themselves against any eventuality. The following disclaimer was found attached to an e-mail sent from a large multi-national company.

Should you open any of the links contained in this message, you hereby consent to be become the focus of a highly secret and humiliating investigation into your private life. By displaying this disclaimer, you agree waive all your, and others, rights to privacy and agree to reveal, without hesitation, any and all information about yourself, your employer, your family and/or household animals, particularly information that demonstrates illegal or embarrassing activities that you or others have taken part in. Such disclosed information, including that which may be protected by laws enacted by countries outside the USA, must also be disclosed, and is hereby requested in advance. There is no legal recourse in any country whatsoever for reclaiming any residual rights.
